This is an especially classy and decorative looking katana with many gold highlights and unique design features. The gold and black fabric showing through the blue and gold wrapping is an especially nice touch. The tsuba (guard) and saya are adorned with samurai and dragons.
The sword has an extra thick, fabric-wrapped grip that makes the sword feel excellent in your hands, lightweight and easy to wield for anyone. Unlike many katana, the tsuka (grip) curves back in the opposite direction of the blade, giving the user more leverage and adding to the unique feel of this katana. High quality carbon steel blade with machined clay tempered look measures 26", sword measures 40" overall.
The carbon steel blade makes this weapon safer to use in combat demonstrations and cutting exercises when compared with stainless steel weapons, because it's less likely to break or snap. Stainless steel and carbon steel both have their advantages - be sure to choose the one that suits the true purpose of your weapon.
